It has to do with the amount of confirms the developer of the coin has set. If he has 120 confirms until the coin matures then the pool would need to work in the neg if the pool payed out every 30 confirms. So The only way to solve that is change the code in the coin or work the pool in a negative  on the back end or have a wallet pre filled for pay out.

Any way to decrease the number of confirms?  120 is a bit of a overkill and hard to do any transactions with a coin that takes hours to confirm.

Usually that is just for mining.. it is a safety issue in case of a fork. when a network gets more established it wont be that much of a problem.

Confirm and maturity are 2 diff things.

We have been mining many scrypt coins for the past months, about 5 months ago we built our first rigs and have been doing so.  Upon mining we noticed the pools can play a huge factor, so we " Hoped " to build a fast easy pool to help launch the coin.  I have an investor how paid for the development of WeMineCoin, and that is another side gig I am working with him on.  But I must admit we did not anticipate the amount of server load that the pool would be taking, it crashed the stratum server many times and forced us to think about closing the pool until we could upgrade it.  But we found a nice temp solution that restarted the pool every 5 minutes, not an ideal solution but a quick fix for the night.

Please understand, this is our very first coin and our very first pool.  Also we are working with everyone to try our best to release this as fair as possible, with no premine and yes some facebook fans (3 people) where able to help us test the pool and coin for small bugs before hand ( half a day or less ).  I hope you can understand our pain in trying to make everyone happy, but we are trying our best.  Also I have an offer up for anyone who can compile the windows wallet for me .1 BTC, you can find all the info on https://github.com/vegascoin.

Any other suggestions or questions, feel free and myself or Sven my server admin can address them right away.

Thank you

Hello Brandon,

I see that you are posting more on this forum than on bitcointalk. It seems things are running more smoothly now albeit all the big hitting miners are now on board.

From what I have seen particularly in posts on here that you have upfront about the problems.

I think there has been a few teething problems in getting started. Problem with weminecoin.com and pooled.cc and problems with the wallet. In my honest opinion, the launch was rushed. Any regrets on that front?

Personally, I just wanted to get involved with a startup coin so I can get some coins before mining gets too difficult.

I think if you can get local organisations using vegascoin that would be great. Any time frame you were thinking of getting that distributed, how transactions will be made between me and the local organisation? e.g. Mobile and QR code?

If you can get casinos to buy in then great but I suspect you will have competition from other coins such as bitcoin and casinocoin amongst those probably wanting to break into casinos.

I am hoping to come to Vegas for my birthday in November, so it would be cool to come down and spend some vegascoins! ;)

Anyhow, the reason for responding is that you were offering 0.1 BTC and was wondering if you were still offering it as I'm the person that posted that syntax fix there.

Brandon, why do you need the windows wallet compiled again?

You had a working one after I told you the first link didn't work,

but the second link did.  I am on my laptop, but at home I was

able to get a working window wallet going.  Later I could send

all those files back to you via email attachments for .1 BTC,

if you need them, send me your email address.

Thank you, and I do have a local Limo company and Nightclub already planning to accept VGC, the only issue is we need and exchange first.  The investor is a very wealthy business man here in Las Vegas with ties to the Wynn, my long term goal ( Maybe by the end of the year or mid next year ) is to end up in the Wynn casino.  I am not worried about other coins as I am here Local, this coin is started by someone in Las Vegas for people and businesses in Las Vegas.  It helps keep the money in the town and also lets you do somethings you couldn't with money much faster and easier.

As far as the windows wallet, I have already gotten this made, I should have posted a retraction to the offer but I have been very tired and just not got a full night sleep.  I thank all of you and encourage you to check the official site for news and updates, I will also do my best to update these communities and even try more on Bitcointalk, it's just their site is kinda outdated and I seem to work this one much smoother.

Thank you, and i'll be sharing more updates on the local advertising efforts and more very soon.

Ahh so you are retracting that offer :( Fair enough I suppose I hadn't even heard of this forum until today. Thought it was worth asking.

But I thought you got the solution from my post on bitcointalk as you did post on that forum. (See #22 and #25 under https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=466312.0;all)

"And thanks to that guy who found an issue, I will update this Monday."

A little bit cheeky if you ask me ;)
