ok thanks that worked,

shut down blade wallet

extract the 2 dat's to a new folder.

copy /b blk0001.dat+blkindex.dat bootstrap.dat

in the appdata/roaming directory rename blade to bladeold

in appdata/roaming create a new blade folder

copy bootstrap.dat from the folder you extracted it to, to the new appdata/roaming/blade folder

copy appdata/roaming/bladeold/wallet.dat to appdata/roaming/blade

copy appdata/roaming/bladeold/blade.conf to appdata/roaming/blade

launch blade wallet

let it do it's indexing thing

once it's indexed i had to run repairwallet from console

lost a few coins but it started staking and looks like they it will even out.

backup, backup and backup can't be stressed enough. first attempt was a fail i had a file left in the blade folder as i only removed the .dat files thinking thats all that mattered.

second attempt i did as i wrote and it was a success.

for those that don't want to do the download and copy rename thing

Bladecoin bootstrap

Awesome! Been on vacation and just got back and applied the bootstrap All is good again!.

Big thanks to campeck for supplying the data and gibitar for confirming the non syncing. I had first mentioned this issue  sept 17 2015 but everyone blew me off. So this would have went on indefinitely.

My friend did not understand the directions. To simplify it for others.

Make a backup of your blade wallet.dat before you begin!

Go to %appdata%/roaming/Blade

Delete all files EXCEPT wallet.dat and blade.conf.

Download gibitars bootstrap.dat https://www.dropbox.com/s/3jrwv4y3o384qn1/bootstrap.dat?dl=0

Copy bootstrap.dat to %appdata%/roaming/Blade

The folder should have only 3 files.

blade.conf

bootstrap.dat

wallet.dat

Run the blade wallet as you normally would. The wallet will import the bootstrap and will take a long ass time. once the wallet is up, from the console type "repairwallet"

Done

and its down again. :(

I'm in the process of setting up a PC that will run Blade non stop so connectivity issues should be a thing of the past. My wallet was mined to back in the day so it stakes very regularly (every 10 sec or so) and seems to be the heartbeat of the network. It would be good to have it on hardware capable of running 24/7

Got the PC with the wallet up. I'm hoping very little downtime. Anyone want to fire their wallet up and see if we get connections? Thanks!

I've had some good luck with other coins I was thinking I could start investing some btc into a website and wallet update for Blade?

I have a connection! And to get anyone interested involved I made a Discord channel. https://discord.gg/a7sZcZ6

I figure it's a good place to do things like giveaways or bounties for a new website, explorer, art, and a wallet update for sure, etc.
