P2Pool for Phoenixcoin

Intermittent disconnection of atlas/prometheus?

After many weeks of successful mining at atlas.phoenixcoin.org, I am now seeing a lot of disconnections. Sometimes the disconnection is reported in a red warning at the top of the Web page for atlas. More recently, the Web page has no error report, but phoenixcoin-qt reports "Couldn't communicate with the server. Retrying in 30 seconds." During the disconnection, all of my shares are rejected. Sometimes the disconnections corrects spontaneously. Toggling mining off and on again appears to reset the connection.

I am running phoenixcoin-qt from phoenixcoin-lin-amd64-0.6.5.3 and minerd from cpuminer 2.4 on Ubuntu Saucy.

I had similar experiences on prometheus.phoenixcoin.org, but I observed a long latency (over 110 ms) to the server, and try to stick with atlas. I discovered a third node in the pool at multicoin.eu, but I also get a latency >110 ms there.

Cheers,

Mike O'Donnell

There were disconnections due to daemon upgrades to v0.6.5.3. Once a daemon at Atlas ran out of memory and crashed. My miner is at Prometheus failing over to Atlas if anything happens. I can set up another P2Pool in Los Angeles if there is enough demand. Too far from me to use it.

I've added some frills to the Phoenixcoin p2pool. 95.85.57.10:10554

and I'm working towards a domain name. It's in Amsterdam.

I've made a custom enhanced front end including the status node chart.

Next step is to get the customised front ends, in a coherent way onto Github.

Looks good. The port is 10554 actually and it says "Pheonixcoin forum" in the top.

Cheers for that, I found a couple of other references to Peonixcoin, I copied about. I corrected the port misstype in the post.

My P2Pool nodes will be shut down shortly before the switch to NeoScrypt. They will be restored when the new version (NeoScrypt compatible) becomes ready for livenet.

Are there any p2pool nodes that are running on the new version? Tried to get a node setup last night but could not find any other nodes.

I'll get my P2Pool nodes back online on the next week.

I was able to get mine online and somewhat working. Needs to use longpoll, no stratum support (--no-stratum flag). The guys on the feathercoin forum are currently working that out.

Well, it was synced up with the pool but somewhere lost that and is now a lone pool. Going to continue working on it.

@s Fox s: make sure that in the networks.py file that you leave the p2port as 11555. I have been able to connect to other peers that way.

I am running into another issue though. I am able to mine and I find blocks, however I can't get all the data to fill in. See: http://104.131.5.165:10554/static/

I am seeing this error when running p2pool with --debug

Any help would be appreciated.

Of course as soon as I post this it starts showing up ????. Now the issue is that I found a block, and I got credit for it (not really an issue per-say ;), however I'm obviously not in sync with the other peers as they aren't showing the block and I received the full 50pxc.

You can run P2Pool without any peers connected. You get all rewards minus any optional fees towards development. In fact, that's another way to solo mine.
