I was idly wondering why I haven't earned any GRC since Sept. 12 and so looked at the NN window in case my CPID was missing. I noticed that ALL the displayed CPIDs say they are synced to Sept. 17, 6 a.m. (a day in the past).

That seems odd. Is it normal?

I'm running v3.5.0.2-g-research, with BOINC itself looking OK http://boincstats.com/signature/-1/user/14884/sig.png

Edit: Update - the issue went away on its own. NN sync dates are now all a day in the future (Sept 19). One of life's little mysteries, I guess.

I have a request.

There will be a kickstarter campaign soon that will
1. Introduce a plug-n-play hardware mining solution and therefore

2. Promote Gridcoin in the big kickstarter community.

We need more videos that we can add as a comment to the kickstarter here and there.

A possible content of that video could be you sitting in front of your computer, telling your story about how you became a Gridcoin-enthusiast and how nice it would be to have a plug-n-play solution to start mining. Maybe also that it would have saved you lots of time if there had been such a solution when you first came into contact with Gridcoin.

The more the merrier. This would be a great help.

Why don't you just go on fiverr and get people to post their views on Gridcoin and what they think about the concept.

Shapeshift.io:

Thanks for reaching out. I have added Gridcoin to our discovery list and our development team will look into it when they begin to decide on the next coins to add. We receive several dozen requests a day for new coins to be added so can not assure you we will add your coin, but we will for sure look into it and see if it makes sense for us to add at this time. Any new coins we add will be announced on our social media channels as well as via our email list. Please feel free to connect:

Good job Quez, let's see if Shapeshift can recognize a good thing when they see it.

940k marketcap

31 gridcoin.png GridCoin GRC $ 1,001,919 $ 0.002740 365,626,575 $ 10,809 16.93 % 31.46 % 102.89 %

Hmm either coinmarketcap is not up to date or there is a small difference between the block explorer and them regarding coin suplly. 365 to 366 Mio

They need to update their feed, its pointing to a dead link I believe.  Here is the link to my api: http://www.gridresearchcorp.com/gridcoin/api/coinsupply.php

Quez, if you could let them know that would be great.

Updated the TODO list below:

There is an english kickstarter coming up soon and the Reddit posts are successful. We hope we will reach many non-crypto-enthusiasts. Therefore we need to clean our wiki, FAQ and establish a new english Gridcoin Wikipedia article. Is somebody willing to help me/us with that? Here is the full TODO list:

Please let me know if I missed something. And please let me know If any of you guys is willing to contribute to get this TODO list smaller.

PICISI has recently presented a funding proposal to the Gridcoin Foundation, all are welcome to share your views on the proposal and the extent, if any, the Foundation should engage.  Here's an excerpt:

"PICISI (Philanthropic Investment and Charity for Inventions, Startups, and Ideas) is an ambitious crowdfunding startup that is designed to accept all significant currency types (fiat and crypto).   This endeavor will likely change how cryptocurrency is viewed by the masses since it will enable people to see and use cryptocurrency in positive ways.  We are coming to you today seeking financial [4M GRC] and strategic assistance for the creation of our target website and the development of the PICISI community..."

I invited PICISI to present their proposal as I did donate a small amount of Grc when this project got started to have Gridcoin included as a sponsor, and to have GRC be used on their crowdfunding platform.

Being unable to create a website without funding is a major red flag imo. This comes across as begging for coins with no value to gridcoin being returned. Pass. Edited by Double-oh-derp
