Thank you for your work. I have a question; when will the new logo be added to the wallet?

Hi Enzo,

Whenever the devs promote the wallet logo files up to the master branch.  Once that happens, the build will contain the new wallet files.

Thanks.

Does anyone have the GRC address for Pink donations?

You need to go to their site and make a donation. It will give you an address to where you can send the exact amount specified.

Me and bullshark donated earlier today.

I made now a RfB (request for bounty):

  • notify users in Gridcoin wallet about important issues (new mandatory version, ...)
  • open issue since 13 months, it seems to be less prioritized on the "agenda"

some weak points of Gridcoin:

from: "Upcoming changes in Gridcoin" by Tomáš Brod

As mentioned before, few months back:

- 5 GRC is not the same to someone with 500 GRC or someone with 500.000 GRC (the same for someone with 500.000 GRC is 5.000 GRC!)

To get that straightened out suggested formula for coefficient of percentage:

Cp = (Estimated Research Owed + Estimated Interest Owed ) / Total Assets

That way the more Owned GRCs you have compared to your Total Assets, then sooner you'll get paid!

- to see what are which check here my example: https://gridcoinstats.eu/cpid/6b075145fca06c9f0ddce6df72331be0

Also, suggested that people should be payed backward from 6th month back towards today. So that somebody does not have GRCs wasted!

To do that, suggested a coefficient of time:

Ct = (Today - Last Time Staked) / 180

That would give priority to anyone that has older GRCs to get the 1st.

Hopefully something like this will be implemented in future.

It will be difficult to implement since the wallets have no idea who owns what. It is technically possible to do it like gridcoinstats does but it comes a cost on both RAM and performance. It is much simpler to just pay everyone the same for the same work done.

Regarding mixing age into the formula, that was remove when we switched to the _previous_ stake engine (V3) since it was insecure. Move your wallet to cold storage for a few months and get a big stake boost when you come back.

status on projects for last 7 days:

The 5000 GRC bounty is still available:

  • FAIR rewarding: greylisting of whitelisted BOINC projects

from IRC:

user1: i am not understand this all with the "greylistings"

  • me: the simplest case in the greylisting idea (read more there) is: when user X bunkers lots of WUs, and other users can NOT get WUs anymore. Make a guess which user will get GRCs ?
  • me: this would be on purpose making zero WUs
  • me: then there are unplanned events how zero WUs can come to be

user1: in boinc max bunker volume are 5 + 5 days

  • me: you can prepare a few accounts, or how do you think the WUs got so fast empty in Pentathlon or Formula BOINC challenges ?
  • me: it's simple to do and is done by lots of BOINC teams
