Only 700 is missing. :) So I can turn on payouts soon. Thanks for your patience!

I had an unexpected server restart last week, wallet got corrupted, couldnt do anything with it, daemon kept hanging, had to create a new one.

Thanks for keeping everyone updated about the issue.  It's speak highly about the business you run.

As we all know there is going to be a massive problem with the difficulty drops and then everyone mines like crazy and the difficulty does not match the going price rate, which at this point is absolutely nothing :-) Which is what the first Bitcoin was worth way back.

I will be looking into the code, making a few basic changes, keeping it simple and taking it from there.

Sounds good.  I would recommend setting up a website.  Instead of the forum you should set up some kind of info site on bitcoinscrypt.org with your opinions about BTC SHA.  Get a template from themeforest.net.

Since you obviously have strong opinions about BTC SHA it would be a good thing to express those opinions on a website in an organized form so that you could gather support for your cause.

I would also register the .com, info, net and me domain names.  Preventing possible sites that talk down about BTC scrypt.

Good news here. Pool balance is fine now, I mined back the loss. You should start getting your coins if you have your wallet address and auto payout treshold set in your account.

Thanks for your patience! :)

Happy mining!

Does anyone know why the wallet is not connecting to the network / syncing? It last synced the 18th :( I have re-downloaded the wallet from this thread's first page, but it does not sync either. I have a few coins in my wallet and I'd really like to keep them, any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks guys

Hi everyone, I will update you on the current situation.

First off, a new client update is currently in development, as is a new website design.

The next major news is that I am in talks with creating a new Crypto website which as I am judging by public opinion will have the BTC/BTC2 trading pair and then we can see how the worth of Bitcoin Scrypt either falls or grows.

Right now, SHA Bitcoin is mainly only minable by the rich and powerful, governments and controlled indirectly by ASIC manufactures, this is not decentralized anymore and it is not in the hands of the general public. So I have developed and released Bitcoin Scrypt, all the same that we loved about Bitcoin in it early days and MINABLE by anyone with a GPU and at this moment in time CANNOT be mined by ASIC and so is more back to the roots of where Bitcoin should be and back into the hands of the community once again. You might not see it yet but I see a bright future for Bitcoin2/Bitcoin Scrypt and I am going to do everything in my power to achieve this goal and get Bitcoin back to where it belongs....decentralised.

Nice to read this. :) But please make the wallet different from BTC SHA, and rename the coin to BTC2 / BTCS or anything else. That would be fair for all the users.

Keep up the good work! Have a nice day!

I just have to say one thing about changing the code to BTC2 or BTCS.  As soon as you change the code, Bitcoin Scrypt turns into another Altcoin.  Just another clone copy coin... you might as well change the name to PUC, FUC, or DUC because it won't be Bitcoin anymore.  Bitcoin SHA wins because people will know that your coin is different from the Bitcoin which is worth something and move on.  People learn more about the coin, because every time they have to ask which Bitcoin it is.  Each time they are learning that there are two Bitcoins.

Always go with your first thought / idea.  The first idea you had was to use BTC, not BTCS or BTC2.  Stick to your guns.

I'm sure people will disagree with me.  Having two BTC coded coins is confusing.  Remember though, confusion is your friend.

If your purpose is to replace a centralized Bitcoin with a decentralized Bitcoin... then the name and the code should be the same as Bitcoin.

Omega6,

I completely agree with your post. Greed drives development of more effective mining gear, first from CPU -> GPU .> FPGA -> ASIC -> ?  which costs money funded by the greedy, and in turn makes it impossible for anyone to mine without very expensive and specialised gear. This is rapidly centralizing control over the network, I believe GPU mining will be completely eliminated with the change that just happened with difficulty up to 148819199. Some of the GPU miners will lose money flooding the 2nd hand market with 79xx series cards, driving the price of the cards down. The rest of the guys might move over to LiteCoin / WorldCoin / DigitalCoin with the hopes that it will be worth more someday - everybody is holding their breath for LTC and MtGOX and who knows if / when that will ever happen.

I will keep all my hashrate at this coin, and grow it when it becomes worth more, and I am very excited about the potential and I fully support this.

Good work, thank you.
