I think that this coin will be a hit. I mean that cryptos were meant to bring the power back to the people and now the only ones who can afford to mine BTC are the ones who started early and those who could invest heavily into ASIC`s . So...we will see. I am mining it... and btw there were some guys who made a test and it didn`t erased the normal BTC wallet or made damage to it

Mining this! Just a question, how can the diff be at 4 if the network hashrate is so low? I see on the cryptominer pool the total hashrate for BTC2 is 14.5MHash - even coins like DGC with a network hash rate of 180MHash and a diff of 3.23 and WDC with a hashrate of 266MHash has a diff of 1.85. Does this make sense, or am I missing something?

Hashrate was ~ 80 MH few days ago. Diff went up and stucked at 4. Going to drop soon. :)

Hey peeps, so just signed up to join in the bitcoin scrypt discussion...For me it's a good idea but after mining for only a few hours I seem to have wallet issues. Just now 2 of the wallets (I have 3 miners) stopped syncing and got 3 blocks behind for some reason... Anyone else experiencing this? Also who is developing the coin? Is there even anyone working on it? I think if there is a solid convo and solid work done to the coin then I think it could actually do really well... There will be mixed opinions of course but that just adds to the convo! On a final note how long till these find their way onto ebay? ;) lol

Well to be honest, I also had problems with one of my wallets. After an unexpected restart it became corrupted, daemon couldnt start anymore. I had to delete wallet.dat and make a new one. I saw a thread somewhere with the devs, cant remember where.

Cheers, and mine this! :)

I've never had any issues with the wallet software.  I fire it up every couple of days to see the hashrate and number of blocks.

As for the developer, good question.  The developer setup a site at bitcoinscrypt.org to answer questions.  Other than that site and the github account the developer is unknown.

One has done it again... Don't get it... It goes fine for a few hours then just decides to hang on a block and loses snyc... Also I am getting a lot of rejects.. Could be down to my settings though, scantime etc...I am mining it solo at the mo but might have to switch to the pool if the wallet keeps hanging. So did you make the coin then? Or ar you involved in it? Lol

Are you running multple wallets at the same time?  Sometimes, when running multiple wallets one wallet can't make the connection fast enough or loses the connection.

This is while I'm mining. It will be fine for hours so I guess you wouldn't notice by just firing it up?Owww all mysterious, just like with the original? Lol.I did notice the forum but I also noticed that whoever it is wasn't very good at getting back to people. There was a guy in there giving him some very good advice and it seemed like he wasn't really taking it in which was disappointing. So really this could just be dumped like so many others for all we know lol.I'll probably just mine for a few days and see what happens.

I am running 3 wallets on 3 seperate machines. I've done it with other coins without this hanging issue. Not sure what could be causing it, seems to be random. One other thing, I found a block right off the bat but no coins came so I thought it must be an orphan and then later a block popped up and so I thought I mined it just then but it was like an hour or 2 later... Then I found another and that went straight in without much delay...Then on another system I have found 2 blocks but they just show the transaction but no coins... I thought they would be like the first, just slow to arrive but it has been soke hours now so not sure.

Yea, I saw the same thing on that site.  Who know what's going on.  For all we know the developer could be building something great behind the scenes and will reveal it in the future.  But who knows... maybe someone's joke.

A lot of people are just like you, mine it a little to see if anything happens.

I don't know then?  If they're all sharing the same connection then that might be the issue.  I've never had a problem with the wallet, though I'm not using it that much.
