Here's something I just thought about:  Bitcoin news organizations reporting on Bitcoin Scrypt.  Like a troll, it's best just to ignore them until they go away.  Rule of thumb, more attention and the worst they get.

Will Bitcoin news organizations report on Bitcoin Scrypt?  Will the reporting cause more people to become informed about Bitcoin Scrypt giving more publicity to Bitcoin Scrypt then any other cryptocoin besides Bitcoin SHA and Litecoin?  Instead of Bitcon Scrypt dying from lack of exposure it's actually ignited.  I guess only time will tell.

Sorry guys as you have to beat around these bitcoins? you have to create a file bitcoin.conf?

Yup.  Just make sure you re-name the Bitcoin SHA-256 roaming folder (windows) to something else.

I've included a standard .conf example in the OP.

Just set it up like any other scrypt based coin.  You've solo mined before?

Yea that is normal.  First, update your cgminer here:  http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/ current version is 3.4.2

Since the difficulty is relatively low, you want to tweak the cgminer settings.  Setting the 's' to 0 or 1 will reduce some of the rejects.

cgminer --scrypt -s 0 --expiry 15 -g 2 --queue 0 -o localhost:30200 -u username -p password

Also make sure you are launching the wallet in Server mode.

1. Create a text file.

2. Change the extension on the text file to .bat

3. Right click on the .bat file and choose edit.

4. Add this information to the file:

cd bitcointaskkill /F /IM bitcoin-qt.exe @title YOU CAN CLOSE THIS WINDOW bitcoin-qt.exe -server

5. Drop the file into the folder where the .exe file is located.

6. Create a shortcut for the .bat file and drop it on your desktop.

7. Double click on the shortcut - you can also just double click on the .bat file inside the folder.

You can use this information for any cryptocoin.

No problem.  You can use the information for any coin.  Just make sure when you're mining a new coin with a low difficulty to set 's' to 0 or 1 so that is scans the network fast.  Once the difficulty goes up or if you're mining a higher difficulty coin, you can set that higher.

If you're getting coins... then everything is working.  Did the coins show up when you had the accept?
