[ANN] Bitcoin Rebooted

Recommended Posts

All... please note that flame.exchange is shutting down due to security concerns.  Please withdraw all your BTC, BOOT, and anything else you have there immediately.

Note that https://micromm.online/ appears to be filling that void.  Thanks MicroMM.

That sucks, though good to hear another exchange is filling in.

Status update:

Apparently micromm.online was just advertising.  I did go ahead and pay a 0.01BTC listing fee, so hopefully we will be up and running on there soon - for at least a month.

Things are looking good at BISQ.  I fully expect to be in their system whenever they cut their next release.

Fingers remain crossed on Poloniex.  The application submitted there used BTR vs. BOOT, which really doesn't matter.  If you trade on Poloniex, please send in a request to list BOOT to show support.  That would be a huge win.

I've allocated as many L3s as I have power supplies for (7 now, 3-4 more should come online today) to mine GIO in hopes of accumulating enough GIO to get lsited on Gravio.  Its 0.3BTC worth, so its likely going to take me a couple of months to raise.  Still, a work in progress.  If anyone cares to donate GIO to the cause, please PM me.  Honestly, its unclear if paying their fee gets me listed, or just gets me on their voting list.  Hopefully its for former.

Oh, looks like the "first week" NiceHashers have left, as expected.  The coins DAA performed well dealing with the onslaught of hash and its loss - which was rewarding to see.  In any case, now is a great time to mine BOOT with older ASICs (I have a bank of old Antminer U1s I solo mine with, and do occasionally find a block!).  S9 class gear is earning about a block or two an hour (more-or-less) on any of the 4 pools supporting us.

Would appreciate conversation and followers on Twitter as well.  Using the hashtag #GettheBOOT

Cheers.

ps.  Going in for some non-trivial surgery next Monday, the 26th, and will likely be offline for a few days.  Will take my iPad with me in hopes of being able to stay somewhat connected.

It was a suggestion from one of our Advisors after we discovered a little known coin was already using BTR.  He suggested BOOT, which checked out as free everywhere we could find, and the phrase.  I just adopted it as a hashtag - It has more of a ring than #Bitcoin-Rebooted (which is admittedly rather dry).

Just filed for voting on https://graviex_net.  One we are added to the voting list, the developers will start depositing GIO for votes.  We could really use some help doing that.  3,000,000 GIO are required to be listed, with winners listed twice a week.

The way the price of BTC is dropping, BOOT might be catching up to Bitcoin quicker than you planned.  😉

Eih... indeed.  As many of you know, I have been mining Bitcoin with a ~2PH farm for the past year.  Turned 90% of that off yesterday, after a 2nd month of losses.  Left 10% on to force me to keep up on whats happening.

Did you ever think about pointing your miners to a switching pool?

Actually don't believe is switching pools.  They typically make their decisions based on the current price and difficulty, which on the surface seems fine.  However, even if a coin was mined that instant, there are two problems:  1)  You can't sell that coin for 100 confirms (usually).  Depending on the blocktime, that could be 17 hours in the future.  2)  Not aware of any pools that does a market depth analysis to ensure the price they are basing things on could support the sale of a blocks worth of coins (17 hours in the future...).

All:  The Cryptoconst exchange ad above is not approved of by the BOOT development team.  They require a 0.3 BTC "filtering fee" to allow you to get on the voting list, and are yet another Exchange that uses its own coin as an intermediary.  That is a practice I'm not particularly comfortable with.  For 0.3 BTC we could outright buy listings on many platforms and not have to gamble with their voting system.
