  1. Wallet backup is very old; is it possible to recover on fresh Windows install? I forgot to make a fresh backup of my wallet before I wiped my Windows 10 system for a fresh install of Windows 10. My GridCoin wallet is about a year stale, while I had been doing BOINC work and staking GridCoin for most of that time. However, I do have all the GridCoin files available to me in my browsable system backup of the old Windows 10 install. That backup is very recent. Is there simply a list of files I can transfer over to get back to where I was? Or is there at least a relatively simple process to recover? Or have I lost those GridCoins forever?
  2. why i did'nt have anything in my wallet ? Hello, First of all, sorry for my poor english... I started mining with the pool.gricoin.co 10 days ago and i did'nt have anything in my wallet... Why ?
  3. Mining Zcash to Bitcoin Wallet? New to mining. Just started. Mining with my NVidia 1080.. Watched a video on youtube about mining ZEC, and it has you point the mining file to your Bitcoin wallet? Is this correct... Shouldn't I be pointing it to a ZEC wallet? or does it automatically convert it? Can I point it to a Zec or? .. he doesn't really go in detail in the video and that part confused me. I've been mining for a day and don't see any profit in the wallet although it's mining at about 440/sols. Will I see it instantly or after some time? Thanks! Newb Miner
  4. Dash Wallet for Android - Incentive Program to Fix Bugs and Get Screen Shots https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/dash-wallet-for-android-incentive-program-to-fix-bugs-and-get-screen-shots.15291/ There will be a small incentive program to help me fix bugs and get screen shots for Google Play of the Dash Wallet in other languages. #1 - Screenshots of Dash Wallet in other languages (max of 0.05 per language per device): Only for supported languages that are already in Dash Wallet Send screen shots of the app (minumum of 3: main screen, send screen, receive screen) Do not leave the keyboard on the screenshots. In the Send and Receive screens, type an amount. If your wallet is empty, we can erase the message about insufficient funds. If you want to hide your transactions, you can make them blurry before sending the main screen. Device used can be phones or tablets (any size) Send to hashengineeringsolutions@gmail.com with your Dash payment address The first person to send screen shots for a particular language and device size will be paid. For instance, one person can send screens on a Russian phone, while another on a Russian Tablet. A person can send in screens on multiple devices and multiple languages. Keep different languages in separate emails with clear naming of languages used. English language screen shots are eligible for devices larger than phones. Screen shots will be added to the Dash Wallet GitHub (https://github.com/HashEngineering/dash-wallet/tree/dash-12.1/market) repo and the Google Play store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=hashengineering.darkcoin.wallet) and possibly used in other cases. Maximum of 1.60 Dash in payouts Some Languages we need include, but are not limited to: Portuguese (Brazil) Dutch (Netherlands) French (France) Russian (Russia) Spanish Indonesian (Indonesia) Korean (South Korea) German Italian (Italy) Turkish (Turkey) Greek (Greece) Bulgarian Chinese Vietnamese Japanese etc... #2 - Bug Fixes from your Crash Reports (Max payment of 0.1 Dash per bug) If the app crashes, send a crash report (when the app starts) or from Settings / Diagnostics / Report Issue. If the app crashes and you cannot start it there is still a way to report serious issues at hashengineeringsolutions@gmail.com If your crash report helps us fix a bug, then we will ask for your Dash address and send you 0.1 DASH per bug that is fixed. Only the first person to submit a crash report will get paid. This will be retroactive - I will go back through the emails of this year searching for crashes with bug fixes - there have been several. Maximum of 1.6 Dash in payouts. (16 payments)

  7. WEBSITE · WP · TWITTER · FACEBOOK · TELEGRAM · SLACK Bitquence - Next-Generation Universal Wallet and Value Management Platform BQX Token Sale Launches: June 28th 14:00 UTC - July 13th 14:00 UTC Bitquence’s Mission is to make the cryptocurrency market accessible to everybody, accelerating adoption of blockchain technology and democratizing ownership of cryptocurrencies. We believe in the philosophical mission established by Satoshi Nakamoto. By creating a secure layer that is accessible to the average person, we put the power of cryptocurrency in the hands of the people – where it belongs. Bitquence is the first cryptocurrency services company to synthesize many of the needs of the new economy. Bitquence features a fresh, universal mobile wallet that can hold and transfer value between users and currencies utilizing a digital liquidity network. The wallet enables dynamic asset allocations with one-click diversification and consensus risk profiles with all of your assets safe and secure in a cold storage vault. While the cryptocurrency market at an exciting $100B in value, there is nearly 1000x that amount of money in the world, over $80.9 Trillion. Cryptocurrencies lack a great deal of infrastructure, but they are poised to revolutionize the nature of money itself. Bitquence can take the best of old economy companies, and apply it to the new economy on behalf of new participants, making cryptocurrencies easier to purchase, transfer and send. Bitquence Tokens (BQX) will be used as “gas” for transactions and storage on the Bitquence network. Automatic gas conversion will help Bitquence tokens form the backbone of the digital liquidity network, a vision similar to companies such as Ripple--except with an “Earth Coin” mindset of being a liquid universal currency. Bitquence will establish liquid markets across multiple currencies using BQX in order to create a “currency agnostic” platform where value of any form can be quickly and cheaply transferred at anytime to anyone. In essence “Ripple for Consumers”. Easy merchant integration and one-click mobile payments will make Bitquence a go-to solution for bringing cryptocurrency to the mass adoption phase. Bitquence crowdsale will start on June 28th 14:00 UTC Bitquence will offer bonus tokens to early adopters at the following rates: The heart of Bitquence is a next-generation super secure mobile wallet, which will be the world’s most advanced cryptocurrency wallet. The Bitquence Wallet will have broad support for a range of altcoins, many of which have no mobile wallet. These altcoin wallets often have highly technical interfaces which make them difficult for the average user to access. Bitquence will provide easy access to many coins for new users generating increased liquidity for the market. This hyper-smart wallet is built on top of four key technology components: · Dynamic Asset Allocation: · Consensus Risk Profiles: · Digital Liquidity Network: · Cold Storage: Digital Liquidity Network: All funds are backed 1:1 with crypto and fiat currencies, ensuring liquidity in the network at all times. There will be no leverage in the Bitquence network, eliminating exposure for Bitquence users and participants. Dynamic Asset Allocations: With one click users can instantly diversify assets into virtual “coin baskets,” diversifying risk and enabling customized exposure to the cryptocurrency market. Baskets will include categories such as large cap, privacy, fog compute, distributed storage, meme and ICO coins. Consensus Risk Profiles: Bitquence will enable individual assets to be rated on profit potential and aggregate consensus risk profiles for each diversified coin basket. The financial crash of 2008 was partially due to ratings companies that were paid by the companies whose securities they rated. By putting this power in the hands of the Bitquence community, this will avoid similar situations and ensure truly independent risk analysis. Cold Storage: Currencies are stored in the Bitquence Cold Vault – an offline, super-secure storage mechanism that is randomly synced with hot funds. This ensures that your funds are incredibly safe and secure and impossible to penetrate. Bringing these elements together, Bitquence is the easiest way to buy, sell and send a broad spectrum of crypto currencies in a “Paypal meets Nasdaq” package. All of this comes with the security and simplicity of the old economy, and an incredible user experience, which allows Bitquence to be a trusted link between the old and the new What is the crowdsale structure? Selling 30% of all tokens with additional 5% reserved for bounties, referrals and rewards. Minimum Threshold: 5000 ETH Soft-Cap Threshold 40000 ETH The minimum amount to raise will be 5000 ETH, which will represent 2 years worth of development capability. The soft-cap amount to raise will be 40000 ETH, which would allow us to expand our team and accelerate liquidity network development. What is the roadmap for development? Bitquence is not a day-trading system or exchange. Bitquence is a simple, safe and secure wallet that enables anyone to get exposure to dozens of coins with a single click. Additionally, Bitquence will offer rewards for experts who provide accurate risk consensus ratings on coins and customized coin baskets. Experts are also welcome to participate in the ICO and create awareness for Bitquence’s vision. Bitquence will also enable new fiat currencies to more easily enter the cryptocurrency market. Our ultimate goal is to make BQX the payments standard for services all around the world. This will take years, but we believe the roadmap outlined above is a valid and solid strategy to get there while being useful to the community along the way. Early adopters of the token will gain the benefits of the Bitquence platform at very low cost. Once the Bitquence Digital Liquidity Network has been established, the BQX token will be transferrable and liquid into any supported crypto or fiat currency. This will make sending a wide variety of crypto currencies as easy as sending Paypal or Venmo via email or text message. This will open the door to mass adoption for Universal Mobile Payments using BQX for any merchant at extremely low integration, infrastructure and transactional costs. Eventually, the roadmap includes rapid asset allocation to occur through the Bitquence Digital Liquidity Network and/or partner networks, making rapid asset allocation as cost effective, fast and reliable as possible. BOUNTY CAMPAIGN - details of our bounty campaign are coming soon Stage 1: Dynamic Asset Allocations In the first phase of development, we will be creating an easy to use interface for rapidly diversifying funds in the crypto market. We hope to roll out the product a few months after the token sale. Users will be able to use the Bitquence Token on the platform as “gas” and we will begin to establish liquidity utilizing the backbone of these asset allocations. We hope to create OTC and darkpool integration for bulk transactions. Stage 2: Digital Liquidity Network The second phase of development is establishing the liquidity network. This will require a legal framework as well as sufficient platform usage in order to operate. The liquidity network will allow value to be rapidly transmuted from one currency to another utilizing the Bitquence token as a bridge. Automatic gas conversion and dynamic asset allocations will be the base of this liquidity. Furthermore, the Bitquence tokens reserved for the liquidity network will allow Bitquence to act as the counterparty for many of the initial transaction pairs and BQX conversions on the network. As more people use the platform, more liquidity is generated. This will be a longer process, but will yield very useful features later. Stage 3: Global Services After establishing the Digital Liquidity Network, we can look towards long-term global services goals. Decentralizing the liquidity network and partnering with liquidity providers will further decrease risk to users and enable value transmission anywhere in the world using BQX tokens. This opens the door to mass adoption of cryptocurrencies and the creation of a universal global payments system. FAQs As a participant, why should I consider Bitquence? Bitquence’s mission is to make it possible for anyone to distribute any digital currency anytime and anywhere--safely and securely. At the same time, Bitquence’s unique digital mobile technology will allow for a disruption of the old economy and a new profitability for all. Bitquence paves the road to the future with a next-generation set of technologies and services that have the potential to disintermediate the existing financial infrastructure. By combining a next-generation, hyper-smart wallet, advanced cryptocurrency services and support for new crypto currencies, a new economic category will be opened up worldwide. Bitquence will enable both individual and institutional users to quickly and safely gain exposure to the new economy, driving fresh capital into the industry. I’m a blockchain and cryptocurrency expert. Why would I need Bitquence? Any tokens that are not sold during the crowdsale will be burned and other pools will be scaled proportionately, meaning the community gets to decide how much this project is worth. In the smart contracts, token creation will be scaled in proportion to investment. What assets will be included initially in Bitquence? Bitquence will obviously support Bitcoin and Ethereum. Many other currencies will be supported and categorized based on their role in the new economy. Users will be able to start with a beginning allocation, and then adjust based on their particular goals or needs. Here are screenshots from the Bitquence Universal Wallet coin basket UI: Big Cap Coins: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Litecoin, NEM Privacy Coins: Monero, Dash, ZCash, ZClassic, PIVX New tokensale / ICO Coins: MelonPort, Mysterium, Ethbits, Bitquence, Civic These coin baskets can be thought of as templates to create your own coin baskets. Users will be free to adjust their own coin basket allocations dynamically - similar to creating a custom set of songs from from an initial community playlist.

  9. Wallet reverting to investor mode Initially I missed signing up for a pool Friday (Doh! - been to busy) - now with grcpool. Was finally working and showing my cpid last night in overview. Shut down computer today to cool it while i made a business run, and to get a new cpu cooler - works great btw, i lost 50 degrees (f) But on restarting boinc - set to fire on login - and loading wallet, the wallet says Cpid INVESTOR in overview. Opened conf file and it had removed my Cpid and replaced with INVESTOR. I opened a file backup, and updated it back to my Cpid in current conf file. - rebooted Client, and it replaced my Cpid again with INVESTOR... Overview still states INVESTOR. Looked in the forum here and found a topic on this that worked for another person. execute resetcpids advertisebeacon (this may have been changed as I needed to add "execute" before it. Here is current reports from debug I performed after client reboot - It still stated investor in overview and in getmininginfo below. 17:27:45 Welcome to the Gridcoin RPC console! 10. ORBITCOIN ∅RB ∅RB is one of the first 30 Altcoins in the world !!! ∅RB is old and young to same, because Orb has a life time of 38 years ORB is a absolutely decentralized currency, everyone can do something to make them strong! ORBitcoin is a long term project! NOT the fast and the furious. But for a long time very profitable! "Orbitcoin is one of the oldest PoW/ PoS altcoins launched on the 30th of July 2013 Orbitcoin is the 1st PoW/PoS hybrid coin with fixed block rewards and limited supply. 33% of blocks are generated through PoW and the remaining 67% are produced through PoS. Difficulty changes every block using a secure and flexible algorithm. Everyone can mine ORB with general purpose hardware. The PoS (Proof of Stake) generation features very low energy consumption." Why Orbitcoin? Because first of all, we don't like central banks and corrupt governments, and would love to see them lose their monopoly. If you haven't noticed, they aren't so happy about Bitcoin and all the other coins out there. And they will try to stop them. Orbitcoin's goal is to be used on darknets like I2P, Tor and others as well as the normal Internet (clearnet) + in Orbit. At the current moment it works with SOCKS over I2P/Tor. Native support for I2P should be in place soon. It's an advanced Scrypt based PoW/PoS coin and has some other nice features, too. This is by far the first crypto coin to truly help science. The Orbitcoin Society mission goal is to support open source science and bring some of that power back to the people! Proof-Of-Stake Orbitcoin's major distinguishing feature is that it uses proof-of-stake/proof-of-work hybrid system. The proof-of-stake system was designed to address vulnerabilities that could occur in a pure proof-of-work system. For example, there is a risk of 51% attacks in Bitcoin or Litecoin resulting from a monopoly on mining power (a 51% attack is when a single entity possesses over a half of the network hash power), which would possibly allow this entity to double spend coins. With a proof-of-stake system, a network attacker would also need to gain a large quantity of coins. This has the effect of making a monopoly more costly, and stops the risk of a monopoly from proof-of-work mining shares. Orbitcoin is the 1st PoW/PoS hybrid coin with fixed block rewards and limited supply. 33% of blocks are generated through PoW and the remaining 67% are produced through PoS. Difficulty changes every block using a secure and flexible algorithm. Everyone can mine ORB with general purpose hardware. The PoS (Proof of Stake) generation features very low energy consumption." POS INFORMATION PoW and PoS blocks carry the same fixed reward of 1 ORB The 1st implementation of 0% PoS minimal age NOW 1 Day 33% PoW blocks and 67% PoS blocks delivering 1 ORB each Considering 20 ORB staking +1 ORB every 10 days, it's 1*(365/10)/20=183% per annum. Compound interest earns (1+1/20)^(365/10)=593% per annum. Things are more complicated in reality, so actual earnings are somewhere between the two above. by Ghostlander 593% per annum is theoretically, only when the POS Diff is low! If the POS Diff increases also reduces this value! The first are so clear advantage! But that's what happens. The early bird catches the worm! Digital money made for the Internet Orbitcoin was born from the Internet, bringing the freedom of physical money to the virtual world while making payments easier and more secure in both worlds. Orbitcoin can offer an alternative to previous cumbersome and costly systems, and it can increase online business access to developing countries,as well as helping to advance open source science. Orbitcoin is set to bring the Seed node of Freedom to the Scientific community! Once Orbitcoin gains enough public awareness we will be able to offer funding to scientist that would like to investigate these theories currently but know that their reputation would be ruined if they were to ask for funding from their normal sources to look deeper into these things. 13. What are the different types of Cryptocurrency wallets? There are several types of wallets that provide different ways to store and access your digital currency. Wallets can be broken down into three distinct categories – software, hardware, and paper. Software wallets can be a desktop, mobile or online. Desktop: wallets are downloaded and installed on a PC or laptop. They are only accessible from the single computer in which they are downloaded. Desktop wallets offer one of the highest levels of security however if your computer is hacked or gets a virus there is the possibility that you may lose all your funds. Online: wallets run on the cloud and are accessible from any computing device in any location. While they are more convenient to access, online wallets store your private keys online and are controlled by a third party which makes them more vulnerable to hacking attacks and theft. Mobile: wallets run on an app on your phone and are useful because they can be used anywhere including retail stores. Mobile wallets are usually much smaller and simpler than desktop wallets because of the limited space available on a mobile. Hardware: wallets differ from software wallets in that they store a user’s private keys on a hardware device like a USB. Although hardware wallets make transactions online, they are stored offline which delivers increased security. Hardware wallets can be compatible with several web interfaces and can support different currencies; it just depends on which one you decide to use. What’s more, making a transaction is easy. Users simply plug in their device to any internet enabled computer or device, enter a pin, send currency and confirm. Hardware wallets make it possible to easily transact while also keeping your money offline and away from danger. Paper: wallets are easy to use and provide a very high level of security. While the term paper wallet can simply refer to a physical copy or printout of your public and private keys, it can also refer to a piece of software that is used to securely generate a pair of keys which are then printed. Using a paper wallet is relatively straightforward. Transferring Bitcoin or any other currency to your paper wallet is accomplished by the transfer of funds from your software wallet to the public address shown on your paper wallet. Alternatively, if you want to withdraw or spend currency, all you need to do is transfer funds from your paper wallet to your software wallet. This process, often referred to as ‘sweeping,’ can either be done manually by entering your private keys or by scanning the QR code on the paper wallet. 14. Gridcoin wallet client not launching Hello, I am running Windows 7 64, and I have installed the gridcoin wallet client from the latest installation file (http://download.gridcoin.us/download/downloadstake/GridcoinResearch.msi) I installed it, no problems, but when I launch the wallet, it briefly runs, then it just disappears, the process closes (it's not listed in windows task manager), the icon disappears from the taskbar, and nothing else happens. I have tried running it in safe mode with networking on, and the problem persists. I have tried turning off the antivirus, did not help either. I checked the firewall settings and all permissions are turned on. I have looked in Event Viewer, and as far as I can tell, no event is logged when I try to run the wallet. Help

  17. How to Migrate Wallet to Another Computer I'm having trouble with my wallet. Have not been able to sync in several weeks. Loading of blocks has reached 854,075 but takes half an hour per block after that. I've tried downloading blocks and rebuilding blockchain. Anyway, I need to have the wallet up on another computer . How do I do that? Should I install from scratch a new wallet on the new computer then replace the wallet.dat with the old one? Thanks
  18. Keeping a secure copy of your wallet on a webserver Hi Guys, My friend has been in to crypto currencies now for a couple of years and he bought in ETH when it was getting crowdfunded, gutted I didn't listen to him. We're both Ex RAF and electronic engineers. About 10 years ago I started coding and I've done a lot of stuff, my friend has made quite a bit of money investing in a whole load of startups from the initial ETH he bought and he kindly gave me a load of something yesterday before the adjustment. It was enough to get my worrying, what if my house burns down, a meteor hit's the UK while I'm on holiday or there is a zombie appocolypse. Anyway, I thought wouldn't it be good to keep a copy on a web server. Then I was thinking, bare in mind this is a guy who worries about meteors and zombies, maybe the people that host my webspace look through my files or it gets hacked... Anyway, having spent 6 years in Digital Datacomms and Satcomms in the RAF, I know that the most secure method of encryption is end-to-end with only one key, public/private key is not secure. So yesterday I wrote a very simple app that encrypts files using a key of at least 16 characters in length, it can be any thing at all. I am offering it free to anyone who wants to use it and all I ask is that you make a little contribution if you find it useful. You can download it here, just be careful, there is no way of de-crypting the data if you forget your key. Feel free to share the hell out of it. I want to be a Bitcoin millionaire! :D http://www.molyneux.systems/EnCrypto Download and install the setup, it's obviously not signed so you'll have to do the usual. I've set it to do web updates so please do feel free to give me any sensible add-on suggestions. One thing I'm going to do is have two boxes for entering the key so it just makes sure that you didn't miss-type it the first time. I only wrote it over yesterday and this morning so it's not perfect. Thanks Elliot :D
