  2. The Official Cryptocurrency of the Adult Entertainment Industry 5 Plus+ POD (Proof of Developer) Rating INTRODUCTION Titcoin is a crypto-currency that was designed specifically for the $10 billion adult entertainment industry where privacy and anonymity are key consumer factors. Titcoin gives consumers the ability to make discreet micropayments while benefiting businesses with extremely low transaction fees. Website: www.titcoins.biz Twitter: twitter.com/OfficialTitcoin Facebook: facebook.com/titcoin Wikipedia: wikipedia.org/wiki/Titcoin Merchandise: cafepress.com/titcoin HISTORY Titcoin was originally developed by a group of seasoned professionals with over 75 combined years of experience in digital marketing, finance, business development and technology. Most importantly, the Titcoin Partners were and still are cryptocurrency advocates who saw the adult entertainment industry as the perfect conduit for bringing a mature digital currency into the mainstream. Originally conceived in November 2013, Titcoin has since grown to be the premier digital currency for the adult industry, being a two-time nominee for both the 2015 and 2016 XBiz Award for Alt Payment Services of the Year. On May 27th, 2017 Titcoin was acquired by Joy-Toilet, an digital media group seeking to revolutionize how the general public perceives adult content and the people behind it all. We plan to carry on many of the previous owners' policies regarding transparency and community-involved decisions. To quote our friends and the previous dev team, what you see is what you get and we are more than happy to answer any questions about our objectives and long-term vision. 3. DEVELOPER COMPENSATION All, We have about 32 million GRC in the foundation wallet and barely spent any, primarily because we created this coin through a community grass roots effort and only spent on highly efficient expenditures. Such as tiny amounts for marketing ad banners and recently two hangouts. However we now have about 10 developers working on GRC and I would like to show some appreciation by making a reimbursement system for 6 months as a test, to foster an environment for high quality releases that improve the overall Gridcoin experience - the wallet code, the scalability and the user experience. I propose that we compensate everyone at the same rate to start off with - including myself at $30 an hour, for invoices that include productive items. Another words, if a dev spends 10 hours and produces nothing, the dev should not add it to the invoice. However if it was research relevant and necessary for the project, add it. I would like to see invoices for completed work units- for example: 20 hours for refactoring this code that is unit tested, 10 hours for adding this feature that is unit tested etc. The future compensation of our next block of 6 month will hinge on us doing a good job this time around. I propose to handle the invoices and consolidate them and keep them on file, and then compensate the dev for the work. (If this poll is approved in the wallet). Devs, keep the invoices for two weeks or up to a month at a time, create an excel or notepad containing the hours, description of the item, and amount, and grand total owed to you and forward them to me. Please forward the invoices to contact@gridcoin.us via e-mail. The poll will be created in the wallet, and this will cover expense requests between August 1 2017 and Jan 31 2018. At that point we will have to seek a brand new vote to continue this system and will know how successful it is. (If you are currently working on something in July, you can include the expense on the August invoice). Please look for the vote in the wallet, and vote for this to be approved or denied. It will be called Developer Reimbursement 6 month package. Thanks, Rob
  4. UASF - BIP148

What is a UASF? UASF stands for User Activated Soft Fork. It’s a mechanism where the activation time of a soft fork occurs on a specified date enforced by full nodes, a concept sometimes referred to as the economic majority. A UASF requires a lot of industry support and coordination, which is good practice for eventual hard forks which requires even more industry coordination. In the past, a UASF was successfully carried out to activate the P2SH soft fork (BIP16). The UASF concept was combined with SegWit activation in the BIP148 proposal which can be found here: github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0148.mediawiki.
  5. Getting involved in Bitcoin development is not a quick process by any means. Chaincode Labs acknowledges this fact, as they will include discussions on the protocol. Furthermore, there is also room to discuss all of the projects that are looking for active contributors. This should give aspiring coders a better overview of what they can engage in, and where to start. http://fintechist.com/chaincode-labs-announces-four-week-bitcoin-developer-course/
  6. The Ethereum Developer course itself will focus on security and reliability first and foremost. Since there are so many promising projects being developed in the Ethereum ecosystem right now, a repeat of what happened to The DAO needs to be avoided at all costs. Keeping tabs on the latest security practices is of the utmost importance right now. http://themerkle.com/exopshere-academy-announces-three-week-ethereum-developer-course/
  7. Such an event like this would not be possible without inviting some of the biggest names in the Bitcoin industry. Overstock’s Judd Bagley will join Rik Willard, Joshua Scigala, and others on a topic about The Future of Banking. Internet of Things is also getting some positive attention, with a panel taking place on the first day. http://themerkle.com/blockchain-event-2016-will-touch-upon-interesting-subjects/
  8. It goes without saying this job opening is not available to every homegrown developer in the world. The job description mentions how applications need a Bachelor’s Degree, or better, and preferably have 16 years of experience. This will eliminate most of the blockchain developers out there, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t apply. http://themerkle.com/fidelity-investments-looks-for-an-experienced-blockchain-developer/
  9. Do you feel these prices can be justified, or is this particular event simply overpriced? Explaining the potential of blockchain technology is of the utmost importance to advance innovation in this industry. The financial side of things is only the tip of the iceberg of how distributed ledgers will change various aspects of life. However, when courses on blockchain education and development cost close over US$4,000, there is a valid question as to whether or not these types of events are the right way to go about things. http://themerkle.com/news/blockchain-education-events-quite-expensive/
  10. Bitcoin and blockchain development can take on many forms, as not every coder wants to actively contribute to the Bitcoin protocol. Some people are very passionate about building new applications and tools on top of the blockchain, which is important to the ecosystem as well. Even though there are several API providers in existence, BitcoinChain.com wants to bring something new to the table. But will they be able to become a major development platform such as Blockchain.info and Blocktrail? https://news.bitcoin.com/bitcoinchain-adding-diversity-blockchain-api/
  11. What are your thoughts on BitcoinChain.com? Do you know of any developers who have tried this platform before? BitcoinChain.com is one of the unsung heroes in the digital currency development space. The company offers a wide variety of tools, all of which can be used to create new platforms and solutions. Even digital currency enthusiasts not active in the development sector should check out BitcoinChain.com and its offerings. Project slike these are never finished, and the team keeps working hard to deliver a professional and efficient service to its users. http://themerkle.com/news/bitcoinchain-com-offers-versatile-tools-for-developers-and-bitcoin-users/

  13. [PRE-ANN] [RELC] RelCoin - In-app token for RELNUZ - seeking coin dev help An important world event is underway. Imagine you can watch video news about it from multiple viewpoints and determine your own understanding of the truth. Imagine if that event is happening right in front of you, and you pull out your smartphone. With one touch, you instantly create and deliver a video report on it as it happens. Is it a protest? A crime in progress? A good deed? A celebration? What is RelCoin (Pronounced RealCoin)? RelCoin is a cryptocurrency similar to Bitcoin, but with its own mining/staking or generative algorithm and its own decentralized, public-consensus transaction ledger or blockchain: an alternative to Bitcoin, or altcoin. RelCoin’s specific purpose is as a store of value and method of exchange within the software application Relnuz. What is Relnuz (Pronounced RealNews)? Relnuz is a mobile video-sharing application with a niche purpose of creating and sharing video news from your smartphone, whether that news is of global, current, topical niche, or highly geolocal interest. It allows you to instantly “sharecast” newsworthy events happening right in front of you, and lets you earn RelCoin rewards based on both crowd-evaluated quality of your sharecast and newsworthiness as determined by Relnuz editors. Because RelCoin rewards are a functioning, standalone cryptocurrency, tradable on exchanges for Bitcoin (or Euros, Dollars, etc.) or for an ever-increasing range of goods and services, you can earn genuine value for the quality news you sharecast, or for the honest and accurate feedback and editorial/categorization help you provide on other users’ sharecasts. In this way, Relnuz is a self-sustaining ecosystem that aims to disrupt Big Media video news as we know it, by decentralizing both its content and its value, and giving it back to a community of creators and consumers. If I mine or buy RelCoin, how will you deliver value? The Relnuz executive team has decided to launch RelCoin concurrently to the development of the Relnuz application, then integrate it later. We’re doing this because we want a working Relnuz beta to test in the field as soon as possible, and part of the data collected from our beta users will inform how to best integrate the RelCoin reward system into the app. We also want to generate attention amongst the cryptocurrency community, who share an early-adopter mindset and understand well the potential for real-world applications of cryptocurrency to generate true value. It’s our hope to be able to provide a profitable risk-reward proposition to early miners, investors, and supporters within such a network, and align you with our own goals for the success of Relnuz. It’ll be important to manage the RelCoin economy to ensure there’s always a supply of RelCoin available to be fairly rewarded to users. This will be algorithmically adjustable according to real market value, which is part of why we’re launching and distributing RelCoin early-- we want the market and community to establish what that value is so we can fairly apply it. We will balance the rewards to minimize unfair exploitation while making it worth your while to sharecast and participate in the way that most benefits you *and* the Relnuz ecosystem. On a larger economic scale, the Relnuz team is currently self-funding the development of Relnuz from our own pockets. In addition to continually seeking outside private and/or government funding, we have considered that RelCoin itself has the potential value to further fund development. Thus, we intend to participate as market-makers in the RelCoin market to preserve and grow its value while also working toward disparate goals of exchanging that value for further development. This may give rise to occasional, discretionary buying of RelCoin at market to refill the reward pool, or selling of RelCoin at market to finance company objectives. In-house market-making expertise will ensure this is done skilfully, with a light touch, minimizing any price shock, and only as a final-priority option. It’s mentioned here for the sake of transparent disclosure. We will also create through in-app-purchasing steady flow of RelCoin back to the reward pool. Beta testing will tell us which ideas to implement and which to discard, with a primary concern for improvement of the Relnuz user experience. RelCoin will be purchasable in-app using normal app-store channels and usable for: tipping other users customizing sharecast video overlays and a user’s personal Relnuz channel geolocalized, categorizable video advertising re-sharecasting to wider audiences skipping or hiding ads more if it makes for a positive UX; less if it doesn’t Inflow-outflow diagrams to illustrate the balance of the RelCoin economy will follow. Who is behind RelCoin? I’m notsofast, @notsofastcrypto on Twitter. I got into cryptocurrency during the early days of DogeCoin as a miner and trader and have since striven to be a positive force in an admittedly unruly space. I hold an undergraduate honours business administration degree, and more importantly, I bring to the table five years' experience as a technical/tactical trader and market maker on the NYSE, as well as eleven years' experience as a successful entrepreneur and owner of multiple growing businesses. I use a pseudonym to keep my involvement in cryptocurrency separate from my other pursuits, but when and if the time is right, I will offer my dox if it will support investor confidence or further the goals of the Relnuz project. I'm currently seeking a developer who is interested in doing the meat-and-potatoes main work on RelCoin. I have a good practical understanding of what this coin's parameters need to be, but I haven't learned to code. This would be a low time-commitment to start, as we would be able to clone a coin already out there and tweak it to our needs as well as leave things open for the important and more time-consuming app-integration work later on. Compensation for technical development is an open conversation. I'm open to input. Project Status Although RelCoin is an integral part of Relnuz, this space will focus on RelCoin. For updates and more information on Relnuz, please visit our investor page at relnuz.info, which is also under development and subject to change. Much of the development process is protected by non-disclosure agreements, but we’ll share everything we can. At time of this PRE-ANN's launch, RelNuz's parent corporation is in the registration process, pending some final consolidation of the share structure. The RelNuz software has been in development since mid-April, and our development team is hiring an additional programmer to help meet our deadline of a working beta in August 2015. The RelCoin project is in its earliest stages. The first goal of this pre-announcement is to seed awareness within the cryptocurrency community, and from there, recruit a primary developer based on track record with other coins, as well as bounty/volunteer help for management and promotion. I have a wish-list for developers I’d like to bring on, as well as an expert economic understanding of RelCoin’s required parameters. Roadmap for predevelopment: Hire an experienced developer from wish-list. Finalize RelCoin specifications. Solicit PoW mining pools. Develop and perform testnet mining to satisfaction. Release source code (minus genesis block info) to pools; release passworded wallets. Finalize launch date and time. Launch PoW by releasing genesis block info to pools and password to wallets. Monitor PoW period and ensure successful transition to PoS. RelCoin Parameters: Proof-of-work on launch, then transition to proof-of-stake (or consistent PoW/PoS hybrid in order to accommodate the distributive network strength merge mining allows) [TBD] Mining algorithm [TBD] Maximum supply, proof-of-work [TBD] Total eventual supply [TBD] Premine (as hard coin quantity and as percentage of total eventual supply) [TBD] Target spacing [TBD] Difficulty retargeting algorithm [TBD] Staking reward (as percentage or preset amount, HiPoS, or combination) Relnuz mobile app (Android and iOS) to contain integrated staking wallet Integration of RelCoin with in-app user actions, scalable by RelCoin's market value and with an internal interface for both manual and algorithmic adjustment If you're interested in being RelCoin's lead technical developer, please contact me through this forum or as @notsofastcrypto on Twitter. NOTE: This forum is self-moderated in order to keep discussion productive. Bitcointalk is offline due to a compromised server as of May 21 2015; this topic may be locked and resumed at Bitcointalk's altcoin forum once that site is reinstated. Speedposts above my first reply will be deleted in order to reserve that post for a FAQ and updates.
  14. Last week I was talking with Bryce, and he suggested it would be in the long term interest of Unobtanium if the development load could be distributed across additional developers. Since then I have been reaching out and having discussions with different developers who have solid experience and coding skills, educating them on Unobtanium, and trying to help them understand if Uno and it's community have intersecting goals. I'm very happy today to introduce you today to CaptChadd, a hero member on BCT. His involvement in cryptocurrency development goes way back to 2011. He has honed his skills over the years by supporting different crypocurrency projects. He is currently the developer for ExtremeCoin (traded on Bter and Cryptopia). CaptChadd is setup for development on Windows/Mac/Linux. I think you'll enjoy having him in the Unoverse. Please give a big UNO welcome to CaptChadd as a core member of the Unobtanium development team!! We look forward to working with you CaptChadd, and doing great things with Uno together.

  17. Hi Everyone, We need a coder (programmer) to code a NEW PROOF that is different from POW and POS. The NEW PROOF will provide quicker transactions, with more security and using less energy. Everything is theoretical until the coding can be done. We need a advanced programmer that is up for a challenge. We will provide generous bounties for the successful coding of the new coin (preferably using Scrypt with the NEW PROOF). The coin we are developing is backed by physical assets call carbon credits, however we want a technical innovation to go along with our coin. Can anyone help us? Thanks Dave cuteartist222@gmail.com 562-353-7288
  18. Hi devs of Cryptocointalk , (The following is a copy/paste (with a few changes) from BCT to introduce my problems, thanks for reading) Following H2Ocoin's owner (too busy IRL) and dev (finished work) departures, a few supporters (me included) decided to keep the journey going by taking over the coin. There is plenty of work to do : nearly dead hashrate, value next to none, site not up to date, cadaverous reddit and so on... This alt's current state is bad and we have to roll up our sleeves because we want to rebuild it believing in this coin's purpose (as a charity one). Finding the charity aspect slightly under-valued and the current "anon - x11" hype a little too much, we would like to rebuild this alt because there is a true potential in this segment. Many alts have foundations, donate to NGOs or create charitable events but I'd like a coin with a donation process to its core and not as a side event. I think the previous owner had a great idea with this coin but I believe he didn't fully went with his idea because there's more to be done, IMO. Otherwise and to be more complete, there is another existing altcoin in the "water charity" segment which name is Clean Water Coin (WATER) which surfed the h2o's wave a few weeks after the PRE-ANN early march, but thanks to a more dedicated and conscientious owner is nowadays best known (better value, bigger community) and more solid than H2O. I appreciate what they are doing because they overcame some setbacks which could have been bad for them but managed to get back really well and are now at cruising speed. On top of that, they have a good marketing image ! But to me, as H2O was the first on that segment I decided to support H2O (principles I guess ) and that's why I'm looking for one or few devs to get the coin back on tracks. I also need to state that there is no beef between the two camps and that we can coexist. New community team has plenty of ideas and already has a plan to reorient H2O as a charity coin to its core and not just it being a gimmick. But none of us know how to code in c++ (well at least, not wallet, blockchain and security stuff) and that's why we need devs to complete our team. What we wish is at least one dev who will be interested and agree in the project first (details and plan by PM), able to code, compile and having knowledge and skills to implement algos and security protocols. We'll wish to build something long-term, therefore we'll need somebody who will be dedicated with us and who won't quit once paid (which happened already before the take-over). I don't know the specifics and it's possible that I'm not accurate enough in my description of the job but wholly, we need somebody able to build a coin. Obviously, the dev will be paid as we are aware that the job is difficult (it will be up to him to decide whether he will be paid in H2O or BTC). I don't think it will be a full time job in the beginning (I don't really know the amount of work needed to be honest, that's also why we need a coding specialist) but maybe with time, it could be About myself, I can code html, css and some php and I'm not bad in Cgraphic design and CAD but I have no knowledge in other CS langagues... If needed, you can check my post history at Bitcointalk and see that I mostly posted in the H2O ANN and that I tried to push the coin towards the charity side above since early may when I started being a little worried about the coin's future (even if there had been a 17.5 BTC donation to thewaterproject which convinced me of the coin's potential). I'm not interested by creating a new coin to surf whatever hype and that's why we want to rebuild the coin instead of creating a new one. I think it's a legit coin in the ocean of cryptos (as we're really want to focus on the charity side). We don't have an innovative code (algo, protocols etc.) or an increadible marketing but we have interesting ideas (I hope so ) we would wish to give life to and I hope I will be able to convince a dev to join us in this journey. If interested or more details are needed (about me, the team, the pay, the alt's history or our plan), you can talk to me by PM where I could be able to give you more infos (which I don't want public atm obviously, competition we know about that ). You can also join the H2O IRC (#h2ocoin on Freenode) where you would be able to directly discuss with the team and where we would be able to introduce each other. Thanks a lot for your time
  19. The API Network will: A. provide a platform for developers to easily access multiple APIs + IMAP. B. provide access to a wide variety of both private and public API's. c. provide access data normalization and natural language processing services in a federated manner for data that is technically easy to host and index, such as IMAP and Exchange information D. aquire initial backing as part of crowdsale to incentizive developers to build the API Network Protocol's software. E. operate using the "APICoin" to grant access its service. F. compensate and incentivize nodes that are providing the API Network service in "APICoins" The API Network Coin will launch the protocol by holding a one time event crowdsale. These tokens are generated by the participants in the "API Address", a Bitcoin address starting June 15th 2014. The generation will continue until the end of the 'crowdsale' event until the target amount of funding is committed or the ending date is reached. Initial distribution of APICoins will essentially be a effort to incentivize developers to write the software which fully implements the protocol. The issuance of tokens will proceed as the following simple steps: Anyone sending bitcoins to the "API Address" before July 15th, 2014 is recognized by the protocol as owning 100x that number of APICoins. For instance, if the user sends 100 bitcoins to the "API Address" before July 15th, their bitcoin address owns 10,000 APIcoins after July 15th. In order to encourage adoption momentum, buyers will get an additional 10% bonus APICoinss if they make their purchase a week before the deadline, 20% extra if they purchase two weeks weeks before, and so on, including partial weeks, prorating the total purchase accordingly. Thus, if I send 100 bitcoins to the "API Address" 1.5 weeks before the 15th of July 2014, the protocol recognizes my bitcoin address as owning 11,500 APICoinss (10000 + 15% bonus). Attempts to send funds to the API "Address" on or after midnight (central time) July 15st 2014 (as determined by bitcoin block chain records) will not be considered APICoins purchases and shall be sent back to the originating Bitcoin wallets in the form of Bitcoin minus transaction fees. See the whitepaper here: https://github.com/DavidJohnstonCEO/APINetwork/blob/master/README.md Check out our Reddit here: http://www.reddit.com/r/APInetwork/
