  1. Analysis of 'jokecoins' and the reasons why people decide to buy them! 😂 https://medium.com/trivial-co/people-actually-pay-money-for-these-useless-tokens-you-must-be-joking-ef14fcb675c4 The article takes a look at Dogecoin (of course), but also some lesser known jokecoins: - Useless Ethereum Token - Fuck Trump Coin - Jesus Coin - Penis - FUCK Token - Cthulu Offerings
  2. https://trivial.co Its a powerful network explorer which gives stats, news and advanced search. Full functionalities outlined in this article - https://medium.com/trivial-co/how-to-use-trivial-co-to-explore-the-ethereum-network-af8848090fd7 Hopefully its useful - any feedback and/or shares much appreciated!
  3. I wrote an article on IoT projects built on top of Ethereum. 😎 https://medium.com/trivial-co/block...-distributed-ledger-tech-collide-3784dc62cc7b (Blockchain of Things — cool things happen when IoT & Distributed Ledger Tech collide) Blockchain and IoT are both groundbreaking technologies, that will see increasing adoption in the next few years. By combining them, will they become something even more than the sum of their parts? (HINT: it looks like the answer is YES!) Let me know what you think about this interesting symbiosis?
  4. There are a number of reasons why using blockchain for borrowing and lending makes sense, especially when it comes reducing fees, cutting out middlemen, and operating in a trustless and transparent environment. The article below dives deep into the benefits (and drawbacks) of blockchain lending, and thinks about how banks will respond. It also lists a few of the best projects focussing on this, including SALT, EthLend and Ripio Cedit Network. https://medium.com/trivial-co/lendi...lockchain-should-banks-be-scared-e0a01c857c43 What do you think about it - would you take or provide a loan on the blockchain?
  5. Hi there, I wrote an article about how blockchain and AR/VR are merging together. Its a really interesting space and some cool projects are just starting out, with actual use cases. - Decentraland (gaming, digital assets) - VibeHub (entertainment) - Cappasity (retail) - Blockv (advertising) - Matryx (scientific research) You can read the full text on Medium: https://medium.com/trivial-co/blockchain-and-ar-vr-a-match-made-in-virtual-heaven-26e54782be56 (Blockchain and AR/VR — A match made in virtual heaven?) I'd love to know what excites you about AR/VR ?

  7. Hey y’all I wanted to share I project I have been working on. Any feedback, positive or negative, much appreciated. Trivial (https://trivial.co/) is an Ethereum block explorer, with a focus on discovering and researching ERC20 tokens. Some of the cool things you can do with it: - Search for any Ethereum address and see what tokens it holds - Save addresses to keep up-to-date on transactions in and out. - Check out top holders of any token - Check holders of a selection of tokens - eg. find out who hold EOS, QTUM + OMG - Find out key token info - whitepaper, team, social media, etc. - Discover tokens by category, and find related tokens There’s also a feed, where you can keep updated of any news related to tokens or addresses you follow. Its early beta, but hopefully its a useful resource. Play around with the tool, and let me know if you discover any bugs or anything that could be improved. Suggestions on new features are also very welcome! Cheers!
  8. The largest DEXs are still processing less than 1% of the total volume of crypto, but I strongly believe that they will be the future of crypto trading. They have some key advantages over centralized exchanges, particularly when it comes security and the fact that only you control your coins. Fees are also likely to be a lot lower, with some DEXs set up to charge only gas fees (Radex). The main drawback of DEXs is their low liquidity and poor UX/UI, but these are very solvable problems, particularly if liquidity can be pooled like those operating under the 0x protocol intend. The fact that Bitfinex and recently Binance have announced their intentions to launch decentrlaized versions of their trading platforms indicate that they are threatened by the model, and are doing their best to respond. Here is a list of all the decentralized exchanges and protocols: https://github.com/distribuyed/index Keep a close eye on Ethfinex, Idex, 0x Relayers (currently Radar Relay + Paradex, but more to join soon), EtherDelta, Bitshares, Kyber Network - I expect the volume traded on these bigger DEXs to increase steadily over the next few years. Other cool projects like Airswap, Herdius, Radios are also worth following. What do you think - will DEXs eat away the volumes of CEXs?
  9. Hi community, My name is Jan, i've been investing in the cryptospace since 2015. I am a real fan of blockchain technology, and love how many innovative decentralized solutions are coming out each month. Its amazing to think where the technology will take us in the next few years. I'm doing my bit by working on a tool for browsing the Ethereum network and discovering/researching ERC20 tokens. I'll post about it in more detail in the future, but if you wanna check it out you can visit - https://trivial.co/ Im a fan of Ethereum and really like some of the dApps and tokens that are launched on its network. I also think Bitcoin still has a future, especially if Lightening and side-chains are successfully implemented. My favorite project int he space has to be Monero - its an incredibly powerful project that puts people in total control of their money. Iota is also something I am keeping an eye on, as I think the potential of DAGs is huge (no fees with fast transactions an highly scalable!). Look forward to interacting with some of you soon!
