  1. Hello, I'm using Linux Mint 17.3 and Gridcoin client A newer version is not yet downloadable. I am stuck since 2 days on synchronizing my wallet because of the following repeating error from the log: 13.02.2018 18:01:12 ERROR: ProcessBlock() : AcceptBlock FAILED 13.02.2018 18:01:13 Received block 95ac8ef74f65d33de39219cbefad73aaf24e28d714fb532328b730d44f6ec6ee; AcceptBlock: Proof Of Stake V8 9 13.02.2018 18:01:13 ERROR: CheckProofOfResearch: Researchers block magnitude > neural network magnitude: Block Magnitude 18,000000, Neural Network Magnitude 13,000000, CPID bcab56da59ba29e9694641f4f146272d 13.02.2018 18:01:13 ERROR: WARNING: AcceptBlock(): check proof-of-research failed for block 95ac8ef74f65d33de39219cbefad73aaf24e28d714fb532328b730d44f6ec6ee, nonce 0 I just started reloading the chain but still get the same error Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks!
  2. I'm now running the gridcoin client 3.7.5 on Linux Mint 17.3 with kernel 4.4.0-111, 4 GB of RAM. When the various gridcoin client updates took place in January 2018, I had various errors wherefore the wallet would no longer synchronize. Thus I finally decided to re-download the whole blockchain. The download is running but stops frequently with a memory access violation. Sometimes the crash happens right after loading the blocks and opening the GUI, sometimes I can download some blocks for 5 minutes without error. I already tried to eliminate possible reasons for the crashes: - A memtest86 run showed no errors. - I also tried lower kernel version down to 4.4.0-78 as this kernel was running fine for me in December 2017, assuming that the latest spectre bug fixes are the root cause. - The debug.log contains no errors, just the downloaded blocks. - Starting the client with the debug option also displays no errors. So I assume that there is an issue with the gridcoin client as I can exclude kernel and hardware errors from my point of view. Is there any idea that I could try to stabilize the client?
