  1. Thanks for the giveaway! https://twitter.com/reeporter1 @Skycoinproject 2iwCwJ9Yg5Hm7hxrRWWNkEszfKQs73KNrrk
  2. @rossotron Open explorer on Windows put '%appdata%\GridcoinResearch' into the adressbar. Then copy "wallet.dat" and "gridcoinresearch.conf" to a safe place. Backup done! Here is link that describes also backing up the blockchain, which is in your case probably not needed. https://steemit.com/gridcoin/@delordsquest/duplicate-move-or-transfer-your-wallet-from-one-computer-to-another
  3. Make sure you have a backup of your wallet.dat and gridcoinresearch.conf files. (Without both you've LOST your Gridcoins.) - Windows: %appdata%\GridcoinResearch - Linux: /home/your_user/.GridcoinResearch/
  4. @Zwirzu Whitelisted projects https://www.grcpool.com/project/poolStats https://www.gridcoinstats.eu/project https://www.gridcoin.us/Guides/whitelist.htm More info about projects (platforms) http://boinc.berkeley.edu/projects.php Go to Gridcoin IRC for questions.
  5. @Zwirzu BACKUP WALLET: Make sure you have a backup of your wallet.dat and gridcoinresearch.conf files. (Without both you've LOST your Gridcoins.) Windows: %appdata%\GridcoinResearch Linux: /home/your_user/.GridcoinResearch/ In case of drive failure or complete system crash, copy these files to cold storage such as a USB stick or external HDD for safe keeping. For choosing the right project read this link https://www.grcpool.com/help/chooseProject
  6. Hello again, you could try the procedure on another android device. In case you are failing the configuration with the other device either you are probably making a mistake
  7. @Zwirzu In order to get GRC as researcher you need around 1000 GRC to stake in a month or 2. Which means with your 13 GRC you need very long. So you simply need to poolmine until you reach 1000 GRC and then switch to solo mode. Solo mining in your case and most other cases is a waste of time. kind greeting
  8. Hi am not doogs and i am glad that i could help. greetings
  9. @johnmiller You don´t need to stake blocks. Actually you cant because mining for the pool means that you will mine with the pools CPID. You will get you share and thats send to your specified GRC adress. After you have mined at least 500 GRC you can start thinking about changing to solo mining. Also you might want to read this https://steemit.com/gridcoin/@dutch/quantitative-analysis-of-staking-times-in-gridcoin-v8-live-at-block-1010000-with-v3-6-0-2
  10. @GRC_Son Did you download the Boinc apk from their website or from GooglePlaystore? I tried to install the apk from Boinc website that didnt work for me, but using the version from GooglePlaystore worked. greetz
  11. @SoNic67 There has been released a new GRC client version which might solve your problem. https://github.com/gridcoin/Gridcoin-Research/releases Fix problems sending beacons on Windows, #684 (@tomasbrod). Fix clients getting stuck at V8 blocks when syncing, #686 (@tomasbrod).
  12. @johnmiller You dont have to advertize a beacon, when mining for a pool. You would waste some GRC for that. In order to start staking blocks you need to aquire at least several 100 GRC. Check this link out. https://steemit.com/gridcoin/@dutch/quantitative-analysis-of-staking-times-in-gridcoin-v8-live-at-block-1010000-with-v3-6-0-2
  13. HI, you can run the wallet on another computer without running boinc. Make sure: 1. your Gridcoin wallet is closed, 2. then make a backup of a) your wallet.dat + b) gridcoinresearch.conf files, + c) the directory: walletbackups. (Without both (2a+2b) you've LOST your Gridcoins.) They are located in Windows: %appdata%\GridcoinResearch (and for linux: /home/your_user/.GridcoinResearch/ )
  14. Hello, I am not too sure about this, but i think the boinc applications have to support mpi. https://boinc.berkeley.edu/dev/forum_thread.php?id=8172 "The optimal way to use SETI@home on a cluster is to run BOINC on each node. It's not sexy, but it gives the best speed." So i would probably be better to run boinc on each Raspberry Pi standalone.
  15. Hello, I found out about Gridcoin a few weeks ago. Then i have started to aquire some informations about Gridcoin and i did setup a wallet for staking. I setup Boinc for Gridcoin mining. I have started boinc mining a few years ago with seti and worldcommunitygrid. Sadly i wasnt able to recover some of my old accounts ... :| I am asking kindly for some starter Gridcoins in order to start staking. Of course i am willing to pay them back as soon as i start staking. Or i will pass them on to someone else who needs starter coins. THanks in advance! My GRC address RyyMGuNNSRfUZF64ditiwHymhseWYMjNkN
