Client was running 24/7 for about a week and then this started. Win 8.1 machine. Donn
  7. Got up this morning and seen this when brought up from task bar. Restarted and the top transaction is now gone. Is this a fork or did something else happen? Looked thru the log files and did not see any thing that jumped out at me.

Looks like there was an update needed but why would the program not do it and then restart or put up a notice on the main screen that an update is needed, that seems to be a better option than just exiting and doing the update.
  9. Not here, just DL the msi again and it is not working, Last time it did work but now it is not changing anything in the directory at all. Will try the uninstall after copying the app data to a safe space and try again. Uninstalling and installing seems to work. Will know morelater.
  10. When is the new version going to be ready for windows, downloaded the file from the steemit link and it shows that it is 3.8.5.9 g when installed but only shows an repair or remove for the installer.
  11. Had to move the computer around yesterday and started getting this: REmoved everything except the conf, wallet, and the walletbackup and did a download blocks. Was all up and synced the IP here had a problem, car hit a pole and just getting the system back up. The same has started again with the bad block, bad CPID, bad boinc hash etc, etc, etc. Do not want to delete and restart again as it takes almost 3 hours to do it. I can put the complete log file on pastbin if needed. Do not know what to do. The gui still states that the wallet is out of sync.
  12. What exactly is a pool. Googled gridcoin pool and it came back with theses. pool.gridcoin.us and pool.gridcoin.co. So what exactly is a cryptocoin pool. Searched for one for bitcoin to see if I could figure it out and had some open-source ones come up from both sourceforge and github. Is there a document that explains what is needed for a pool? What functions would be needed for the pool. Would an boinc account manager be included in it? Just trying to increase my knowledge of cyptocoins? Thank you. Donn
  13. Maybe an implementation of the BIONC client directly into the wallet could offer other ways to check user data? Another idea would be to create our own BOINC project that parses the data as you say. Maybe that could be our requirement to receive GRC POR rewards. You have to be in our data processing BOINC project if you want to receive rewards lol. That really wouldn't change the centralization much since the POS/investor nodes would still be just fine if BOINC went down as it always has been. Or something like [email protected]?
