  1. German Thread

I have no idea. But why cex.io? You cannot trade Gridcoin at cex.io. Do you mean c-cex.com?

With poolmining, you don't have an own CPID. Your gridcoinresearch.conf can be blank. No email, no key, nothing. These things you only need by solo mining. With poolmining, you only need an address of your wallet. Your wallet even could stay offline and you will get your rewards, once your wallet is fully synced. With poolmining, you get your rewards as a transfer sent to your address.

It would be great if you help other newbies to get started/motivated, there's no need to pay the coins back to me. Thank you!

As long as the block count is increasing, everything is okay. It will need some time to fully synchronize up to the actual block number (just now: 1124453)

Welcome David, sent you a few coins! Please start at a pool first (grcpool.com) until you have > 1000 GRC, the competition between solo miners is too big to stake a block with just a few coins within a decent timeframe. The coins I sent won't help you for solo mining, they're just a little motivation I hope. Also, for poolmining you don't need any coins, you can start with 0.

Try starting the wallet with option "-rescan". edit: I had the same issue with 2000 coins today. -rescan did solve this.
