Yup sounds good. Let's wait until maybe 6 months to get BTC2 stable, and maybe the exchanges will pick it up. Then see BTC, uh, BTC2 prosper. ;)

    Keep on hashing!

I highly doubt any exchange would pick it up.  It would be a nightmare for the support standpoint.  Users would be too confused.  This is why I suggested starting an exchange where BTC2 is traded against USD.  There is a google doc exchange already setup if people are interested in trading the coins for BTC.  I haven't looked at it in awhile, so I'm assuming that it's still up and running.

I agree with you actually. Someone needs to start a exchange like that because the doc is cumbersome at best.

Well time seems to be exponential in this world, so it's anyones guess... Truly anything can happen in a day, and the test in high hash rate seems to be good for the coin at it's current difficulty changes. Will definitley be roaming back to the boards from time to time.

Again, anything can happen on the exchanges... I mean seriously Hobonickels, I was there when they were talking about creating and release that the next day. Atleast this appeals to the human psyche, you cannot forget the physcological factor. It's easier to run where the crowd will go with and anyone who has alot of GPU miners will be looking to use them. (All the while the 2nd rated most beloved (through popularity cause NVC is .03) coin LTC .014 is falling, the ASICS damaged some people... a reboot can happen...  Will it happen, well there's no reason why not with everything else that has happened over the last year.

Doc exchanges use to be the norm before the auto exchanges.  But yea, people just want to load their coins and trade.  Though, it's easy to start an exchange thread, which hasn't been done.  The risks of getting scammed are high, but I would think if people really wanted to trade BTC2 then there would be people moving the coins.  There are a lot of people mining the coins, but I think most of them are just people who want BTC2... just in case.

Depending on Omega6's marketing scheme... you know support can come from nowhere, even him/herself. Maria 2.0 was trying to make a reboot of BTC-SHA 256 and call it bytecoin, people were on board but lost interest cause an ASIC (I assume among others) was suspect of leaving it at a high difficulty. Those ASIC threats deter people, will there be a civil war over BTC.  Depending on how this is done, it could work great... (Also we know people are sour over the first miners, first marketers?)

Before you know there will be an article about the great divide among Bitcoin miners. (Also, make them regret selling off their GPUs why not, they had their time and got their ASICS.)

I'm not sure there will be a civil war over Bitcoin.  If there was only one coin then I could see a revolt.  But since there are so many other coins, the people who don't like Bitcoin just go and mine and support other coins.

The problem is that Bitcoin get ALL the news.  The news organizations LOVE to talk about Bitcoin.  This non-stop news / information gets a lot of non-miners / non-technical people into Bitcoin because that is the only coin they hear about.  So, the ASIC miners are happy, the merchants are happy, and the average person is happy.  Everyone else knows about the other coins and just becomes a fanboy for another coin.

In the end, there needs to be better news coverage of cryptocoins.  Most of the news organizations make the most money from covering Bitcoin.  Once there is a news organization that covers all the other coins with the same vigor as Bitcoin, there might be an interest in BTC2.

Hopefully that'll be key to Omega6's purpose... that the Bitcoin name gets the news and this is as well called Bitcoin, really thinking on the psyche towards this one... It could even get people in to BTC-SHA256 even more, because they will be forced to learn the difference between the two. This one is really gonna be hit or miss....

Good luck to all mining it

After reading one of the posts in the now removed thread on BCT... there were some major news outlets asking about BTC2.  The problem is that those major news outlets tend to speak to Bitcoin people who just say the coin is a scam, etc.  So, that's as far as it gets.  The news organizations get fed filtered information because all their sources in the cryptocoin world are... Bitcoin people who want to advance... Bitcoin.

As a lot of people are mining this coin they must be doin it in case people get fed up of Bitcoin SHA and want another Bitcoin that they can actually mine without ASIC's in the way.

Chadd haven't interacted with you since bringing BQC back to life and trying to get Bytecoin off the ground....  how's the wallet app coming?

Yea man, I feel the ASIC problem did too much damage. Of course they are good machines, less power and high hash rate, but the human element is what went wrong making promises to ship products. I agree it should have gone the way of the ASICS, but one bad apple..... ya know.]

Another night of mining with no issues, saw the rate go as high as 550Mhs before i went to sleep, now it's back down of course.... still mining with no issues and payouts are coming in regularly.

Another successful night of mining, until about 2 hours ago... The btc2.cryptominer.net pool went down for a bit but since it's been back up I have not been able to connect.

Last night in my half sleep half sick, I believe I saw the hash rate at 550Mhs, highest I've seen it yet, also difficulty went up to 23 at block 22666.
